What the Expanded Agreement Means for Hospital Buyers

Hospital procurement teams need responsive distributor support alongside compliance with established purchasing arrangements. Under the expanded relationship, hospital buyers gain a direct authorized-distributor channel for Philips Holter and stress-testing equipment — with configuration guidance, accessory consolidation, and coordinated ordering. If your hospital orders through a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), share your agreement details when you request a quote and we'll walk through the fit for your specific contract.

What you gain in the process is everything a good distributor should provide: access to available inventory, coordinated factory ordering, bundled accessories, and a U.S.-based team that answers the phone.

Philips ST80i Stress Test System and Philips DigiTrak XT Holter Solutions at Heart Medical

Philips ST80i Stress Test System

The Philips ST80i is a diagnostic stress ECG platform supporting exercise and pharmacologic stress workflows. Its wireless patient interface module can reduce cable clutter and make it easier to transition patients between exercise equipment and an examination bed during stress-echo procedures. Heart Medical supplies the ST80i system and supporting Philips stress accessories, with availability and lead times confirmed during the quote process. Common bundled accessories include the wireless PIM, treadmill belts, monitor cables, patient prep supplies, and stress-test acquisition modules.

Philips DigiTrak XT Holter Solutions

Heart Medical also distributes Philips DigiTrak XT Holter recorders, compatible analysis solutions, and supporting accessories for ambulatory ECG workflows. ST80i workstations and the Windows 10 conversation

The Philips ST80i cardiographs are not the concern. The systems remain fully supported. What may need attention is the PC workstation running the ST80i software — and it depends on when your unit was deployed.

The important nuance. ST80i PCs shipped from Philips since December 2025 run Windows 10 LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel), which Microsoft supports until 2032. If your workstation was delivered new within the past nine months or so, the general Windows 10 end-of-life clock does not apply to it.

Where the Windows conversation is still relevant. For ST80i workstations deployed before December 2025 — which covers most units in the field — the PC is typically running the consumer/business edition of Windows 10, and:

  • Windows 10 (consumer/business editions) reached end-of-life in October 2025. Hospitals on stock Windows 10 are either paying for Extended Security Updates or running unsupported.
  • Software currency drifts. ST80i software releases assume a current Windows environment. Workstations 18+ months out of date drift further from the supported baseline.
  • Hardware age adds up. Most pre-December-2025 workstations were deployed alongside the cardiograph and are 5+ years old, past their typical refresh window.

How Heart Medical can help. Regardless of your Windows version, an annual service contract — preventative maintenance, software updates, and (by tier) parts and labor on repairs — keeps you predictable going forward. For older units where the Windows conversation is genuinely open, we can also quote a Windows 11-compatible workstation refresh validated for the latest ST80i software, with your protocols and PACS integration migrated over.

Not sure which version you have? A 5-minute check with Sabrina Elliott, RCIS, CCT, our ST80i account lead, will confirm it — and size a quote if a service contract or refresh is worth a conversation.

GPO Purchasing Arrangements

Many hospital cardiology programs purchase equipment through Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) agreements. If your hospital is on a GPO contract, share your affiliation and the equipment you're evaluating when you request a quote — we'll review your specific agreement with you and walk through the ordering path that fits your hospital's contract terms.

Implementation Support

Beyond ordering, Heart Medical supports hospital cardiology and clinical engineering teams through the full evaluation and rollout process:

  • Platform-selection guidance and configuration walkthroughs
  • Room preparation, cabling, and workflow-planning input
  • PACS and EMR integration coordination (DICOM and HL7 supported)
  • Accessory-planning across recurring consumable needs
  • Installation and applications training, quoted at time of purchase per our Terms & Conditions of Sale
  • Post-installation support and service and repairs across the Philips catalog

Who This Serves Best

The expanded arrangement is especially valuable in a few specific scenarios:

  • Multi-site health systems consolidating vendor relationships across cardiology programs
  • New stress labs that need equipment, room prep guidance, and quoted installation support in a single conversation
  • Cath labs and stress labs replacing aging systems, where minimizing procurement friction accelerates the go-live date
  • Clinical engineering departments managing accessory inventory across dozens of stress and Holter systems and looking to reduce the number of active vendors
