Heart Medical Now Distributes the EXG™ Wearable ECG Platform Across the U.S.

Carlsbad, CA — August 2026 — Heart Medical has today announced that it is distributing the EXG™ Wearable ECG Platform, a 12-Lead ECG device made by C-Booth Innovations and designed for rapid and accurate use in EMS agencies, hospitals, and cath labs throughout the United States.

The EXG™ platform can be obtained right away via Heart Medical's online store and through its account managers, offering four lead options: 12-Lead (flagship), 5-Lead, 4-Electrode, and 3-Lead reversible. Since all the configurations come with the same universal adapter cable, any standard ECG monitor can be used with just one cable—therefore no replacement of the fleet is needed.

About the platform

EXG 12-Lead Wearable ECG applied in clinical setting during ECG interpretation

The EXG™ Wearable ECG Platform is a wearable 12-Lead ECG developed by two emergency room physicians in Carlsbad to address some of the practical challenges of standard 12-Lead ECG use, including consistent placement under time pressure, motion artifact, rushed electrode placement, and the EMS-to-ED handoff.

Key platform properties:

  • Single-cable design: single connection enables setup in under 60 seconds.
  • Universal compatibility: one cable fits any standard ECG monitor, including Philips PageWriter EKGs and Philips Patient Monitors.
  • 3-day continuous wear: once skin is prepped, tolerates diaphoresis and showering.
  • CPR compatible: tolerates Manual & Mechanical CPR (LUCAS); stays on during resuscitation.
  • Radiolucent: X-ray transparent for uninterrupted imaging in cath lab procedures.
  • Expandable to 18-Lead: pair the 12-Lead flagship with the 3-Lead reversible for Right-sided and Posterior visualization.
  • FDA-Registered, AHA-Compliant & ISO-13485 Certified.

Why Heart Medical added EXG™ to the catalog

"'Where Quality Meets Conscience' means we bring our customers equipment that actually solves the problem in front of them. EXG™ does exactly that — I'm proud we get to distribute it." — Ryan Davis, CEO, Heart Medical

The stakes are documented: standard 12-Lead deployment carries a 94.2% electrode misapplication rate (Rouan et al., Am J Cardiol 1989) — a design problem, not a training problem. EXG™ addresses it at the source, with consistent electrode placement in under 60 seconds regardless of who deploys it.

The addition rounds out Heart Medical's cardiac monitoring line, which also includes the Philips PageWriter TC series, the Philips ST80i Stress Test System, and DigiTrak XT Holter monitoring — with EXG™ now covering wearable-form-factor 12-Lead ECG across the cardiac care continuum.

A local partnership

Both companies are headquartered in Carlsbad, California — approximately one mile apart. C-Booth Innovations, founded in 2017 by two ER physicians, manufactures the EXG™ platform locally. Heart Medical, a Carlsbad-based distributor of cardiac equipment and supplies, now distributes the platform to EMS agencies, hospitals, and cath labs across the U.S.
