One reversible 3-Lead configuration — Right-sided and Posterior visualization on demand
The EXG™ 3-Lead Wearable ECG is a reversible configuration that provides Right-sided AND Posterior visualization in a single product. Flip it, and the same wearable delivers the specialty views cardiac teams need for confirmatory STEMI detection and right ventricular MI evaluation — without ordering separate right-sided and posterior products.
Now available through Heart Medical for U.S. hospitals and cath labs.
Why the 3-Lead reversible matters
Suspected posterior MI or right ventricular MI often requires views that a standard 12-Lead ECG doesn't capture well. In clinical practice, this has traditionally meant either ordering multiple specialty leads or accepting an incomplete picture — both of which cost time in a moment where minutes matter.
The EXG™ 3-Lead is designed to eliminate that delay. One reversible configuration provides both Right-sided AND Posterior visualization, with anatomical landmarks built into the design for accurate placement regardless of who deploys it. Combined with the EXG™ 12-Lead flagship, the 3-Lead expands to an 18-Lead diagnostic view for enhanced STEMI detection.
Key features — 3-Lead (Reversible) configuration
- Integrated / reversible design — the same wearable provides both Right-sided AND Posterior visualization
- Anatomical landmarks — designed for accurate placement across shifts and staff
- STEMI detection support — confirmatory workup for posterior and RV MI
- Reduced cognitive load — one product to know instead of two separate specialty configurations
- CPR compatible — tolerates Manual & Mechanical CPR (LUCAS); wearable design stays on during resuscitation
- Single-cable design — uses the same adapter as the EXG™ 12-Lead and other configurations
- Expandable to 18-Lead — pair with 12-Lead flagship for Right-sided + Posterior + standard 12-Lead in one workflow
- Disposable, per-patient — single-use consumable
- Universal compatibility — one cable fits any standard ECG monitor
Clinical impact
Hospitals often need a reliable confirmatory ECG for suspected posterior or RV MI — and this eliminates the usual delay of pulling and applying multiple specialty leads. It streamlines the clinical workflow and supports faster escalation to the cath lab when the finding warrants it.
Clinical applications
- Cath lab procedures — continuous 3-Lead views during PCI and structural heart procedures where posterior or right-sided monitoring is warranted
- Emergency department STEMI workup — confirmatory right-sided / posterior views alongside standard 12-lead
- Suspected posterior MI — where standard 12-lead views may miss the diagnosis
- Suspected right ventricular MI — right-sided views for RV involvement in inferior MI
- Post-procedure monitoring — recovery bays after PCI or TAVR where continued specialty monitoring is warranted
Certifications and compliance
Certified for professional medical use: FDA-Registered, AHA-Compliant & ISO-13485 Certified.

Purchase and configuration workflow
- Request a scoped quote. Share your program's expected monthly volume of confirmatory MI workups and any existing ECG monitor infrastructure.
- Configuration walkthrough. Most cath labs and EDs carry the 3-Lead alongside the 12-Lead flagship for the 18-lead workflow.
- Deployment planning. Coordinate with your biomed / clinical engineering team on integration and applications training.
- Standing-order supply. EXG™ 3-Lead is disposable per-patient — predictable-volume programs benefit from standing-order setup.
