Continuous rhythm monitoring — with shape optimized for cleaner interpretation
The EXG™ 5-Lead Wearable ECG is the platform's rhythm-monitoring configuration. Designed for continuous surveillance across multi-day hospital stays, its shape optimizes P-wave and QRS morphology to make rhythm interpretation faster and easier. And because it wears for up to three days at a time, most patients need only two applications across an average 5.5-day hospital stay.
Now available through Heart Medical for U.S. hospitals and cath labs.
Why the 5-Lead configuration matters for rhythm monitoring
Continuous rhythm monitoring across medical/surgical floors, ICU beds, and cath lab recovery bays is often disrupted by the operational cost of frequent electrode re-application — nurse time, patient discomfort, workflow interruption, and gaps in coverage during changeovers.
The EXG™ 5-Lead solves this in two ways:
- 3-day continuous wear — tolerates diaphoresis and showering. Only 2 applications needed per average 5.5-day hospital stay. No re-attachment cycles.
- Shape-optimized signal — the electrode geometry is designed specifically to enhance P-wave and QRS morphology, making arrhythmia interpretation more reliable at the bedside and downstream in the read.
Key features — 5-Lead configuration
- Continuous rhythm monitoring for multi-day surveillance
- P-wave and QRS morphology optimization — shape designed for rhythm interpretation clarity
- 3-day continuous wear — tolerates diaphoresis and showering
- Only 2 applications per average 5.5-day hospital stay — reduces nurse time and workflow disruption
- Single-cable design — uses the same adapter as the EXG™ 12-Lead and other configurations
- Rapid application — quick to place, easy to reposition if needed
- Radiolucent — supports uninterrupted monitoring during imaging in cath lab settings
- Disposable, per-patient — single-use consumable
- Universal compatibility — one cable fits any standard ECG monitor
Clinical applications
- Medical/surgical floor continuous cardiac monitoring for stroke, post-op, and arrhythmia workup patients
- ICU and critical care continuous rhythm surveillance
- Cath lab recovery bays — peri-procedural rhythm monitoring
- Telemetry step-down units — continuous rhythm through the transition from ICU to floor
- Long-duration monitoring workflows where re-application cycles disrupt care
Certifications and compliance
Certified for professional medical use: FDA-Registered, AHA-Compliant & ISO-13485 Certified.
